BAT IDEOLOGICAL GROUP CONGRATULATES HAJIA RISKAT LAWAL ON HER APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRPERSON OF THE KWARA STATE AGENCY FOR MASS LITERACY GOVERNING COUNCIL

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT Ideological Group) warmly congratulates one of its own, Hajia Riskat Lawal, on her appointment as Chairperson of the Governing Council of the Kwara State Agency for Mass Literacy by the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The appointment, which forms part of the recently constituted governing councils for key state institutions and agencies, is a significant recognition of Hajia Riskat Lawal’s capacity, commitment and demonstrated passion for service to humanity. The appointment was among those announced by the Kwara State Government in its constitution of governing councils for 17 institutions and agencies. (Premium Times Nigeria)

For us at the BAT Ideological Group, this appointment is not merely a personal achievement for Hajia Riskat Lawal; it is a moment of collective pride for a woman whose commitment to the welfare of ordinary people has consistently distinguished her.

Hajia Riskat Lawal is a hardworking, ambitious and deeply people-oriented woman whose approach to public engagement has always been defined by compassion, accessibility and a genuine desire to make a difference in all spheres of human existence.

As the Coordinator of Grassroots Projects for the North Central of the BAT Ideological Group, she has demonstrated the kind of leadership that places people at the centre of every assignment. Her understanding of grassroots realities is not theoretical. She has consistently shown concern for communities, families and individuals who require support, attention and opportunities to improve their circumstances.

Long before this latest appointment, Hajia Riskat Lawal had, in her own modest but meaningful way, contributed to people-centred interventions across communities, including efforts connected with providing support to communities faced with the challenge of access to water.

These efforts which are people-centric reflect a fundamental quality that we have come to associate with her: she believes leadership should touch lives.

It is therefore particularly gratifying that she has now been recognised and entrusted with a responsibility connected to mass literacy, an area with enormous implications for human development, social inclusion and the empowerment of citizens.

The BAT Ideological Group believes that literacy is much more than the ability to read and write. It is a pathway to dignity, economic participation, self-confidence and opportunity. It gives people the tools to understand their environment, engage meaningfully with society and improve their livelihoods.

We are confident that Hajia Riskat Lawal will bring to this new assignment the same energy, compassion, resourcefulness and grassroots understanding that she has brought to bear in her previous engagements.

Her new responsibility also presents an opportunity for her to do even more for the people of Kwara State. We believe that her experience in grassroots mobilisation and community-oriented initiatives will be valuable in strengthening efforts to reach people who may otherwise remain excluded from educational opportunities.

We particularly commend Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the Kwara State Government for recognising the capacity of citizens such as Hajia Riskat Lawal and entrusting them with responsibilities that can contribute to the development of the state. The Governor has charged the newly appointed council members to justify the confidence reposed in them and support ongoing efforts in education, human capital development and making Kwara a better place to live.
