Terra Industries has signed a commercial agreement with Promethean Resources to deploy its autonomous surveillance systems across the mining company’s Nigerian operations, protecting personnel and assets in areas with limited security coverage.
The agreement was signed in New York at the Nigeria-U.S. Strategic Investment Dialogue on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly, in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Under the deal, Terra will provide persistent surveillance across Promethean’s sites, enabling autonomous early threat detection and faster response to security incidents. The company said mining operators run critical assets in locations where security coverage is thin and response times are long, and that its systems are designed to address that gap.
The partnership supports the goals of the U.S.–Nigeria Critical Minerals Framework Agreement, including increased processing in Nigeria, more skilled jobs and lasting benefits for host communities. Terra said it was proud to help turn the framework into results on the ground.
Terra Industries, founded in 2024, builds autonomous air, land and maritime systems powered by its ArtemisOS platform. The company has recently secured contracts to protect lithium mining operations and Anka Metals’ Jema’a Resource Project in Kaduna.
